Many who have been following the Microsoft Zune since it’s release will be aware of the man pictured on the left. The ‘Zune Guy’ as he is dubbed in cyberspace has for some time been gunning to officially change his name to ‘Microsoft Zune’. Despite a number of troubles along the way, the man, who has 4 tattoos of different Zune icons and sayings, is still confident of getting the renaming completed. One such problem was the renaming fee, which he was told was $500, a little over budget for such a little project perhaps. He’s not been told though that it should only cost $150 so he intends to proceed with the renaming as planned. We’ll keep you posted as to when ‘Microsoft Zune’ the man is born.

One year on from the US release of the Microsoft Zune and there is still no confirmed release date for the audio player in Australia. Microsoft are trying hard to prevent importing of the device but unless they release some details soon this option seems like the best one, at least for the time being.
